Brent Andersen is a conservative businessman, proven Republican leader, and dedicated community servant running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 20th Congressional District. A proud resident of Pompano Beach, Brent is committed to fighting for lower costs, economic opportunity, and constitutional principles that strengthen families and communities across South Florida.
Raised in a middle-class family as the son of a public school teacher and a union asbestos worker, Brent developed a deep appreciation for hard work, personal responsibility, and the belief that skill and determination should open doors of opportunity. He graduated from Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Nichols College.
As the founder and president of Pilgrim Bay Insurance Agency, a boutique commercial brokerage he established in 2010, Brent has built a reputation for delivering practical solutions in complex markets. The agency specializes in construction, commercial real estate, surety, yachts, high-net-worth clients, and life insurance—serving businesses and families across New England and Southeast Florida. His hands-on experience navigating insurance challenges gives him unique insight into the property insurance crisis facing Florida homeowners and businesses.
A lifelong Republican with deep roots in the party, Brent served two decades as an elected member (and Treasurer) of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee and was appointed by the Governor to the Massachusetts State Finance and Governance Board. He has held leadership roles including past Chair of Quinsigamond Community College and Corporator of Cornerstone Bank, along with service on community boards focused on youth development, education, and historic preservation. Brent’s commitment to American values is personal as well as professional. A direct descendant of Revolutionary War patriots and early American settlers, he is a life member of the Sons of the Revolution and holds memberships in other hereditary societies dedicated to preserving our nation’s founding principles and heritage.
A devoted husband to Yula and father to their young daughter, Brent understands the pressures Florida families face every day—from skyrocketing insurance premiums and housing costs to taxes, healthcare access, and education. He is running to bring common-sense conservative leadership to Washington: fiscal responsibility, market-based solutions that lower costs for working families, strong borders and law enforcement, policies that empower parents, and a commitment to protecting the American Dream for the next generation.
Outside of work and public service, Brent is a Miami Dolphins season ticket holder, a U.S. Coast Guard licensed 100 Ton Master Captain, and an avid bluewater fisherman.
